JEAN E. PUIFORCAT - IMPORTANT CENTERPIECE IN SOLID SILVER art deco

341/5000 Important centerpiece in solid silver. The round base is surrounded by a decor of grooves from where a round trapezoidal bowl is flared at the neck and flanked on each side by a handle in onyx mounted on silver. The lid comes to rest on the opening of the neck. The onyx grip is mounted on silver and resumes the fluted decoration.

The inside of the lid bears the inscription:
"OFFERED BY PERSONNEL FROM LA MAISON FONTAINE & Cie to JEAN ARTHUR FONTAINE ON 8 MARCH 1930
